Nick Junes, LCSW

Nick earned his Master’s of Social Work (MSW) from Virginia Commonwealth University and his Master’s of Divinity (M.Div) from Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology in Boston, MA. Prior to beginning work at Fig Tree, Nick worked at the Veterans Affairs Hospital and as a Pastoral Assistant in a large parish. Nick has professional training in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Gottman Method Couples Therapy.

 

Nick’s clinical interests are around Marriage and Relationships, Life Transitions, Anxiety Disorders, and Chronic Illness. He is motivated to support others in moving toward wholeness within themselves and in relationship with others. Therapy with Nick involves a blend between parts work, Gottman method, transformation communication practices, and other evidence-based strategies including aspects of CBT and DBT. As each person and environment is unique, so is his counseling approach toward each client.

 

Nick enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and traveling.
