Nick earned his Master’s of Divinity (MDiv) from Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology in Boston, MA, and worked as a pastoral assistant and youth director before completing his Master’s of Social Work (MSW) from VCU. He has professional training in Internal Family Systems Psychotherapy (IFS), a parts-based therapeutic modality emphasizing mindfulness and Self-compassion.

Nick is passionate about joining others in their own journeys of self-discovery, transformation, and living as their best Self. He incorporates a psychodynamic and IFS-based theoretical framework to understand the human person in their environment. He uses a blend of mindfulness and appropriate treatment modalities (IFS, CBT, Narrative Therapy, etc.) to help others heal, gain insight, achieve their goals, and live with more confidence and enthusiasm. Nicholas is a trained EMDR therapist and incorporates this into his treatment as is clinically appropriate with clients.He is comfortable working with adolescents and adults from diverse cultures, backgrounds, and beliefs. Nick enjoys supporting others with relationship and connection issues, trauma, anxiety, depression, spiritual integration/pastoral counseling, life transitions, family disruption, and substance abuse. Additionally, as a cancer survivor, Nick is able to help individuals and families suffering with terminal illness.

In his free time, Nick enjoys reading, hiking, skiing, photography, going to the beach, and golf.
