With over a decade of experience in child welfare and behavioral health, Casey Eggleston, LMSW, brings a deep understanding of trauma, resilience, and systemic challenges to her work as a Christian counselor. Her extensive background in foster care advocacy, care coordination, and social work education has shaped a compassionate, strengths-based approach to therapy that prioritizes healing, empowerment, and long-term well-being. Casey integrates faith-based principles with evidence-based therapeutic approaches to foster healing and transformation. Grounded in her lifelong Christian faith, Casey provides compassionate, Christ-centered counseling that honors the dignity and worth of every individual.
Casey holds a Master of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Bachelor of Social Work from James Madison University. As a therapist, she integrates her extensive field experience to create a safe, supportive space for clients to explore their experiences, heal from past trauma, and build a future grounded in strength and self-determination. Committed to Christ-centered healing, she creates a safe space where clients can explore their experiences, deepen their faith, and embrace the hope and peace that come from God’s promises.
Casey has worked with families to increase the well-being of the family system as a whole to help improve communication among members and find shared goals. She has worked with individuals facing abuse, neglect, self-esteem concerns, recovery, depression, and anxiety. This shaped her therapeutic approach to be one that is deeply empathetic, solution-focused, and rooted in evidence-based interventions. Casey has also worked directly with youth within their biological family and those transitioning out of foster care, supporting them through the challenges of independence, trauma recovery, and identity development. This experience informs her ability to help clients navigate life transitions, build resilience, and develop self-sufficiency. Her work in behavioral health case management has deepened her understanding of the complexities of accessing mental health services, reinforcing her commitment to guiding clients through barriers to care and helping clients receive the support they need.
Beyond direct practice, Casey has mentored future social workers as an adjunct faculty at Virginia Commonwealth University, fostering a new generation of professionals committed to ethical, client-centered care. She also prioritizes evidence-based interventions to assist each client with their unique goals in the therapeutic relationship.
Outside of counseling, Casey enjoys reading, singing, being in nature, and traveling. She has two cuddly cats who bring her so much joy – one who spends the majority of each day sleeping and a tripod kitty who lives his best life on three legs.
