Elizabeth Whittle, LPC

Elizabeth is a Licensed Professional Counselor and completed her Masters in Counselor Education at Virginia Commonwealth University. Elizabeth completed her residency in private practice and has extensive experience working with adolescents and adults. Her clinical areas include anxiety, depression, trauma, women’s issues, relationship issues and life transitions.

Elizabeth utilizes Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and has completed training in “Adapting Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for Everyday Clinical Needs.” In addition to EMDR and DBT, Elizabeth’s treatment modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Mindfulness. She looks forward to integrating principles of faith and spiritual strengths into sessions with clients who feel comfortable.

Elizabeth strives to create a safe space that allows for self reflection and exploration. She believes that all individuals have the capacity for change and supports clients in developing skills to improve their everyday lives. Elizabeth assists clients in identifying their strengths and values and empowers them to make decisions that bring about positive change. She understands both the power and challenge of the therapeutic process. She would be honored to walk with you in your journey.

Elizabeth enjoys exploring Richmond with her husband, reading, coffee, exercise, and spending time with family and friends.
