The church plays a vital role in supporting individuals and communities through life’s challenges. These workshops provide opportunities for those in church ministry to experience their own spiritual growth, emotional healing, and the skills that may help enhance efforts at community building.

| Grief Companioning Skills | This workshop provides education and support for church staff who frequently encounter grieving church members. Participants will learn common bereavement grief reactions, and how to connect with those who are grieving. We will explore different losses and grief experiences along with myths around grief. Enhance your relationships and communication skills by attending this workshop focused on how to be present in your relationships and your ability to understand and relate to others. Skills focus includes interpreting nonverbal cues, Open-ended questioning, paraphrasing, withholding judgement, and empathy. |

| How to Love Hurting People |
The “ministry of presence” is a crucial skill for anyone supporting others through inevitable crises and difficult times. This workshop focuses on equipping participants with the skills to effectively minister in a variety of settings and developing the character of a biblical encourager. How to identify opportunities to minister to others and learning how to practically apply this in the context of ministry. Identifying and moving past self-protection in yourself and others, in order to stir up the Holy Spirit’s work in their heart leading to a deeper relationship with Christ. |
