
Christa Spencer, Resident in Counseling

Christa Spencer is a Resident in Counseling with a goal of becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University in 2025. Prior to attending Liberty, she worked as a Department Manager in Client Support at two national banks over a span of several years. She has also been working as a substitute teacher for the past two years. Christa’s experience has been in private practice providing individual counseling and working with community-based clients. Christa finds strength in her Christian faith and is compassionate about providing a place for clients that reflects their value.
Christa believes in providing her clients with an empathetic, warm and safe space to share their stories and concerns as they work together to develop goals to move forward in a positive direction. She is passionate about integrating faith and biblical principles into counseling. She focuses on her client’s strengths, and she prioritizes ensuring that her clients feel heard. Christa experienced her own healing journey and desires for her clients to feel empowered to overcome challenges and experience healing.
Christa likes to work with clients who are experiencing anxiety, feelings of hopelessness, grief, relationship challenges, past trauma, burnout, stress management, life changes and more. She incorporates a faith-based approach with a variety of evidence-based techniques based on each client’s unique needs: cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), strength-based, person-centered, attachment-based, parts work and solutions focused therapy.
Outside of counseling, Christa enjoys spending time with her husband who is a first responder, and their two sons who will both be in middle school in Fall 2025. She enjoys going to church, spending time outside, cooking, baking, going out to eat, watching movies, comedy, working out, relaxing at home, going to the beach, taking walks, reading, listening to music and podcasts.She is hopeful to work with you to help create strategies that would be meaningful for your unique situation.
