Jantoria Winston, MSW
supervised by Kelsey Moffatt, LCSW
Jantoria Winston is a dedicated therapist who is passionate about supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families as they navigate emotional challenges, trauma, and life transitions while incorporating biblically sound counsel into her practice. She earned her Bachelor of Social Work from Longwood University, establishing a strong foundation in the social work and mental health fields. She later earned her Master of Social Work from Radford University, with a clinical focus in mental health, and is currently pursuing her Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential.
Jantoria began her career working in foster care and school-based counseling, where she developed a deep understanding of children and adolescents who have experienced adversity, instability, and trauma. These experiences strengthened her commitment to trauma-informed care and shaped her understanding of how trauma can affect individuals throughout childhood, adolescence, and adulthood. Additionally, she recognizes that adverse experiences can have a lasting impact on an individual’s emotional regulation, interpersonal relationships, and overall functioning. With this understanding, she has a strong interest in working with children and adolescents through a family systems approach, with a particular focus on Structural Family Therapy to support positive change.
While Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is an important part of her practice, Jantoria provides individualized clinical support based on each client’s unique needs and goals. She values a client-centered approach and collaborates with clients throughout treatment planning to ensure their voices and priorities remain at the center of care. Whether navigating trauma, emotional dysregulation, or mental health challenges, Jantoria is committed to creating a safe, supportive, and compassionate space where clients feel heard and empowered.
Outside of her professional work, Jantoria enjoys running with friends, spending time with family, taking prayer walks, and seasonal fruit picking at Carter Mountain.
